Bemerkungen
- The 1st pressing of the US CD contained a 20 page booklet, with each
song getting its own page with barely decipherable handwritten lyrics.
Later pressings reduced all these pages into one 4-panel foldout. On
November 16, 1999, Virgin reissued Siamese Dream with the original 20-page
booklet. This will now be the current pressing. European versions continue
to be produced with the 20 page booklet.
- There are two versions of the US _Siamese Dream_. The regular version
lists all song titles on the back, and the "clean version", manufactured
to sell in stores like Wal-Mart, lists no track information, presumably
to keep the title "Silverfuck" from corrupting the Youth of America
or offending the Blue Hairs. The CD itself is identical on both releases.
- The Japanese CD release has a white CD inlay and the 20 page booklet
including a Japanese lyric sheet to all songs (with the exception of
Pissant). Also contains 4 pages of Japanese writings (presumably about
the band) by Mr. Hiro Arishima, dated 15 June 1993. It also has an additional
track called Hikari Express, which is just Pissant. The CD itself
has the Hut UK number (CDHUT11) printed on it.
- Different editions of the CD have the talking between Spaceboy and
Silverfuck as part of different tracks. Supposedly, the US and Canadian
versions have the segment attached to Silverfuck with UK, European and
Japanese attached to Spaceboy. This is not a hard and fast rule however,
as my US version has the segment on the end of Spaceboy.
- The Siamese Dream Collector's Edition is a wooden box with brass
hinges that contains an autographed CD copy of the album and the 1st
pressing booklet. The autographs are merely stamped reproductions. There
are also reports of the box commonly being sold without the CD or booklets.
- The UK 2xLP has a dull coated cover, while the US versions
have a glossy coat.
- The South American 2LP pressing differs in the following ways:
the sleeve is made of cheaper material; the red lettering (such
as the band, album name & song titles) is black on this pressing;
and the center label misprints Greek USA, although it is
correct on the sleeve.
- The Korean cassette has the band name printed in orange, and the
four-panel insert includes all lyrics in English. Lyrics misprint
Luna as Juna, although it is correct on the outside sleeve
and cassette.
- The Brazilian pressing is the only 12inch version of this record
to be pressed on one LP. It does not come with an inner sleeve,
nor is the outer sleeve a gatefold. The artwork is a poor
reproduction of the original, and the sound quality is lesser
than the standard US release.
